Because of the novel Coronavirus, all of my 2020 couples are having to make really difficult decisions surrounding their weddings. There is no easy way to dice the complications surrounding all gatherings during the COVID-19 pandemic, but my couples really are making the best of their situations.
Chelsea and Nicholas opted to push their 2020 wedding plans to next year. With that, they decided to officially tie the knot in a small ceremony with their parents (and Chelsea's Nanny–who brought ALL the fun). I tried my best to help Chelsea make this day feel just like it was her dream wedding, with the traditional happenings that all brides usually experience, first looks and all. We didn't do a first look with her soon-to-be hubby, but her dad and Nanny got to be surprised with the gorgeous bride in her gown from Studio I Do in Virginia Beach. Chelsea's mom told me she was really impressed by Studio I Do and their selections of affordable and stunning gowns. Their elopement in Norfolk, Virginia was just as perfect and beautiful as any wedding they could have dreamed!

First looks always get me emotional. It really is such a memorable tradition. Some of my brides don't do a first look with their soon-to-be-spouse, but there is always a first look with someone. Whether it be mom, dad or even Nanny! Nanny gave the most PRICELESS reaction and it had me a bit teary-eyed behind the camera!
Right before the ceremony, the rain started. It was a 5:30 pm ceremony and (no kidding) it was pouring down raining at 5:20 pm. Literally seconds before Chelsea pulled up, the rain stopped. It held out for the ceremony and made for the most PERFECT ceremony. Here is one of my favorite shots of her dad opening the car door, with his reflection in the car window.
